Alfresco View topic upgrade scripts failing

I also tried the latest code out there but no joy. Also tried updating the mysql connector but same deal. Created a JIRA ticket. Has anyone else upgraded and have the before mentioned error? Thanks. Many people view code as a restriction to a designer but when I learnt to code I found it liberating. Far from being a restriction, it opened up a whole new realm of creative possibilities.
